Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern your participation in programs offered by Malons Project, Inc. ("Malons Project," "we," "our," or "us"), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization headquartered in Hampton, Virginia. By enrolling in any Malons Project program or submitting a registration form, you agree to these terms.

1. Program Participation

Participation in Malons Project programs is voluntary. Malons Project reserves the right to accept, decline, or discontinue participation for any individual at its discretion in order to maintain a safe and productive program environment.

2. SMS Text Message Terms

  • Program:
    Malons Project, Inc. SMS Notification Program
  • Description:
    By providing your phone number on our program enrollment form and indicating consent, you agree to receive SMS text messages from Malons Project, Inc. Messages may include program reminders, check-in notifications, weekly updates, resource links, and program announcements.
  • Frequency:
    Message frequency varies. You may receive up to 4–8 messages per month.
  • Cost:
    Message and data rates may apply. Contact your mobile carrier for details.
  • Opt-Out:
    Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. You will receive one confirmation and no further SMS messages will be sent. Note that opting out of SMS may reduce our ability to reach you quickly. Email notifications will continue.
  • Help:
    Reply HELP for assistance or contact us at [email protected] or (757) 975-6852.
  • Carriers:
    Malons Project, Inc. is not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers include but are not limited to AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, Sprint, Metro by T-Mobile, and other major US carriers.
  • No Third-Party Sharing:
    Your phone number and SMS consent will not be sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

3. Consent to Communications

By submitting a program enrollment or registration form, you consent to receive program-related communications from Malons Project, Inc. via email and SMS text message. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us at [email protected] or by replying STOP to any SMS message.

4. Participant Responsibilities

Program participants agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information on all program forms
  • Engage respectfully with Malons Project staff, volunteers, and fellow participants
  • Notify Malons Project of any changes to contact information
  • Complete program requirements as outlined in their individual program agreement

5. Release of Information

Malons Project may share participant information with partner organizations only when a signed Release of Information (ROI) form has been completed by the participant or their legal guardian. Sharing of information without an ROI will only occur as required by law or to protect health and safety.

6. Photos and Media

Malons Project may photograph or record program events for organizational purposes including social media, grant reporting, and community outreach. Participants who do not wish to be photographed or recorded should notify a Malons Project staff member in writing.

7. Limitation of Liability

Malons Project, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides programming and resources in good faith. We are not liable for outcomes resulting from participation or non-participation in our programs, or for the actions of third-party referral organizations.

8. Changes to These Terms

Malons Project may update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted to this page with a revised effective date. Continued participation in programs following an update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
