Building More Than Homes — Building Futures
The Malons Tiny House Community is a sweat-equity housing initiative from Malons Project, Inc., designed to give youth aging out of foster care, homeless teens, and individuals involved in the justice system the stability, dignity, and opportunity that comes with having a place to call home.
This is more than construction — it's a foundation for independence, built alongside education, life-skills support, and a community that believes in second chances and new beginnings.
A Dream That Started With Malon
This initiative carries the name of Malon A. Pearson (2000–2020) , whose own life reflected the very heart of this mission. Malon opened the doors of his grandmother's home to youth who needed a place to stay — offering shelter, stability, and a sense of belonging to those who had nowhere else to turn.
The Malons Tiny House Community is the continuation of that same spirit — one home at a time, one life at a time.
Our Vision
We believe everyone deserves a stable place to build a future. The Malons Tiny House Community will provide safe, affordable housing paired with the resources people need to thrive — mirroring proven models of tiny home communities that have successfully helped others transition into independent, self-sufficient living.
This initiative is currently in active development, with ongoing conversations with the City of Hampton and organizations who have already brought similar communities to life.
